There are many ways that Reiki can enhance one’s quality of life. Reiki (“ray-key”) is a Japanese word meaning “Universal Life Force Energy”. It is a gentle, ancient hands-on form of energy work that activates the body’s own natural healing response while promoting relaxation. When the relaxation response occurs, the body is better able to heal itself. A deeply relaxed state can result in lower blood pressure and heart rate, better digestive functioning, and an increase in the immune response. Reiki also promotes balance throughout the body/mind system and can reduce pain, fatigue, and discomfort, while increasing vitality.
To best experience this gentle, healing art form it is preferable to wear loose, comfortable clothing and to come with an open mind. Sessions take place on a massage table and are tailored to the needs and desires of the client. There is a brief check in before the session in which the client is offered the opportunity to identify what he or she would most like to create or attract into his or her life at the moment. (This “creative visioning” process is optional, and can be shared with the practitioner or held silently by the client). When Reiki is added to the affirmations that are created, it can boost their strength and power.

Testimonials
"Thank you, that Reiki you offered was so soothing. I was really surprised that I fell asleep on the table, which has never happened to me before. I guess i needed it. I’m glad I felt safe and relaxed enough for that."
"I love that little room! I appreciate your attention to detail. The sparkly white lights, the real birch trees, the gentle music, and the inviting, heated treatment table all helped me relax into a deeper place than I think I have ever gone before. My body thanks you."
"I’m so glad I gave Reiki a try and now I know that I really do enjoy it. I appreciated your suggesting that I could use an affirmation during the session as well. And that you helped me create one that felt just right for me. I posted it in my office when I got home, to help remind me to focus on that more."
